This signature white blend, crafted just for Bull Run Wine Club members, leads with a nose of tropical fruits like candied pineapple, kiwi, mango, melon and peach. The 2019 Cuvée Blanc has the illusion of sweetness, balanced by a strong acid backbone, and features whispers of honeydew and kiwi on the palate.
The grape varietals were sourced from three high-quality vineyards in Northern and Southern Virginia. Each varietal was picked separately at the peak of ripeness.
Grapes in the 2019 Cuvée Blanc were immediately pressed at harvest and transferred to tank where they were settled for three days. The clean juice was pumped to tank, warmed to fermentation temperature, and the yeast was added. It was cool fermented for 18 days in tank, racked off the lees, blended, and aged at 45 degrees for four months. The 2019 Cuvée Blanc was bottled on February 6, 2020, in a small, club-only batch.
