The 2019 Barrel Select Syrah exudes aromas of black currant, blackberries, and allspice and is reminiscent of crisp fall air. Delicious flavors of dark fruits, cooked berries, and pie filling fill the palate with balanced acidity, well integrated tannins, and a long finish.
The grapes for the 2019 Barrel Select Syrah were destemmed, crushed and fermented for two weeks in open bins, with punch down performed twice a day. The fermented grapes were then pressed off the skins, settled into the tank, and racked into barrels. The wine was aged for 12 months in neutral and new American Oak before bottling. This wine was made in a small batch exclusively for Wine Club members.
