With notes of strawberry cream and raspberry on the nose, the 2018 Lady Adelaide Rosé is a lovely Provence-style Rosé. It is bright and crisp on the front palate and full of fresh strawberries with a long creamy finish that is the result of two months aging on the lees. This is the quintessential summer wine.
Chambourcin grapes were sourced from The Winery at Bull Run’s vineyards at Rock Mill in Little Washington, VA.
Our winemaker, Ashton, has a love for Provence-style Rosé that inspired this small batch, club only, 2018 Lady Adelaide Rosé Wine. The 2018 vintage lent itself to this style of wine. The grapes were picked early and aged on the lees for two months in tank and then racked off the lees. It then finished aging in tank until bottling. There was no malolactic fermentation, but lees aging gives this Rosé some of the same characteristics as a barrel aged rose.
