2018 Barrel Select Pinot Noir
Our winemaker, Ashton Lough, calls the 2018 Pinot Noir the “white wine drinker’s red” due to its smooth, easy drinking style and bright flavors. On the nose, one is instantly treated to the scents of cinnamon, vanilla, cranberries, nutmeg and baking spices. The front palate is bright with the tastes of cranberries and tart cherries. Aged 20 percent in new French oak and 80 percent in neutral American oak, the 2018 Pinot Noir has ever-present tannins on the front, mid and back palate, with a medium-long finish. This wine was hand-crafted in a limited quantity exclusively for Bull Run wine club members.
