The 2017 Reconciliation has a nose of plum, baked black cherries, and toasted coconut. This medium-bodied wine is well-structured on the palate delivering robust flavors of bramble fruit and vanilla.
The Petit Verdot and Merlot grapes in this blend were sourced from the best yielding rows at Rock Mill Vineyard. The vines are generally trained in single row Vertical Shoot Position for maximum airflow and perfect golden sunshine kissing the surface of the grapes.
Following harvest, the grapes are sorted and destemmed before crushing. Fermentation then took place in t-bins where daily punch-downs on the cap were performed. The wine was pressed with the skins and transferred to American Oak and Neutral French Oak barrels for a period of 14 months of ageing. The wine was then artfully blended to produce a wine in the preferred style according to the judgment of the winemaker.
