The nose of the 2017 Cabernet Franc leads with lovely scents of sandalwood, white pepper, and minerality which leads to silky tannins, cola, baking spice on the palate and a noticeably pleasant mouthfeel.

The Winery at Bull Run's Cabernet Franc grapes were harvested in October of 2016, de-stemmed, crushed, and macerated for four weeks under temperature controlled conditions, then transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for four weeks for primary fermentation. After fermentation was completed, the wine was transferred into American Oak barrels and aged for nine months.

This Cabernet Franc’s light-body makes it a great match for herbed goat cheese with grilled antipasto, bbq chicken, parmesan risotto with braised short ribs.
