A lovely estate grown, light-to-medium bodied rose with aromas of fresh strawberry, raspberry, and cranberry. The refreshing acidity lingers on the mid-palate with ripe strawberry flavors adding body and graceful balance. This rose has a surprisingly full finish with a touch of orange zest and peach.
Chambourcin grapes were sourced from The Winery at Bull Run’s vineyards at Rock Mill in Little Washington, VA.
Chambourcin grapes were harvested in October of 2017, and immediately de-stemmed and pressed. The pale pink juice was then transferred into stainless steel tanks for temperature controlled fermentation. The wine was aged in stainless steel until filtration and bottling.
Food Pairing Notes
The Winery at Bull Run’s 2016 Rose is the perfect pair for salads and light cheeses, or is fabulous all by itself for summer sipping!
