PART-TIME WINE SALES ASSOCIATE

We are currently seeking energetic, personable staffers to work in a fast-paced customer service environment as a part-time Sales Associate. Responsibilities include opening and pouring wine, selling and upselling Wine Club memberships, and working directly with the manager on duty to ensure optimal guest satisfaction. Sales Associate must be positive, engaging, willing to go the extra mile, and excited to share their knowledge of wine and the history of The Winery at Bull Run with our guests while conducting wine tastings.

*Weekend availability is required. Must be 18 or older.*

PART-TIME MERCHANDISER/UTILITY PERSONNEL

We are currently seeking energetic, personable staffers to work in a fast-paced customer service environment as part-time Utility Personnel. Utility staff will be responsible for stocking wine. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

*Weekend availability is required. Must be 16 or older.*

EVENT SALES ASSISTANT

The Winery at Bull Run is looking for an Event Sales Assistant. The Event Sales Assistant will be trained to move into a full time Sales Representative Role. Candidate should be goal-oriented with a background in customer service and sales.

The Event Sales Assistant will report to the Director of Sales and assist with the following duties:

 

  • Handle leads through CRM software, emails and phone calls
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings and tours
  • Host Tours at the Venue
  • Prepare contracts and invoices for events
  • Negotiate contract and sales for events
  • Assist in Trade shows

Skills required:

  • Goal-focused individual 
  • Proficiency in English
  • Microsoft Office
  • Exemplary written and verbal skills
  • Well organized
  • Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
  • Basic administrative skills
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

Uniform/Dress: Professional attire with comfortable flat shoes required.
Compensation: $13-15/ hour 
Part Time hourly position to transition to full time. 
Schedule:
20-30 hours per week. Sunday-Thursday, some Saturdays.

PART-TIME HISTORICAL TOUR GUIDE

The Winery at Bull Run is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide for its Historical Tour program to successfully implement excellent customer service and hospitality for all guests.

General Responsibilities:

Tour Guides are responsible for conducting the winery’s Historical Tours. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting and welcoming guests to the property, working outdoors in all weather, successfully conducting walking tours for groups of guests (up to 1 hour per tour), opening and pouring wine, selling and upselling Wine Club memberships, and working directly with the manager on duty to ensure optimal guest satisfaction. Local history and wine knowledge preferred.

Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants should have excellent customer service skills with experience in a hospitality setting.  Those with knowledge of Civil War history and/or wine/wineries are encouraged to apply, but prior knowledge is not required.  Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills, along with a high energy drive and creative personality. 

Other Requirements
• Weekend availability required (4 weekend days per month)
• Ability to stand for long amounts of time
• Work up to 6-hour shifts on your feet with walking included
• Must be 21 years or older
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Internships

EVENT PLANNING INTERNSHIP

Sessions:
Summer: end of May-beginning of August
Fall: middle of August-middle of December

Description:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, creative, and personable individuals to work as part-time Events Interns. Interns will learn the ins-and-outs of event management working as day-of coordinators for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, birthday parties, and more.  Hours are mostly nights and weekends, but vary depending on event schedule. This is an unpaid internship that can be used for college credit.
